Sims 2 still not working

I don't know why but the previous issue is still occuring. This is getting annoying now and i did original find a solution with turning of shadows in cas but they keep turning back on again.

I am also now experiencing crashes during the game at random times so i have to restart what i did every time. I have had enough now. I just want to play in peace. 

EA, Please fix all of this i don't want the sims 2 to end up being like the sims 4 and then we wasted our money. Also I did not even get the thing to update the patch??
