Can you restore settings & saves of sims 2 ultimate collection from origin version into the ea games version?
The folders are completely different and I've spent hours moving them around, copying and pasting, but to no avail. the ea version seems to full of duplicates and just doesn't make sense to me. Help!
I did this countless times before Origin and with Origin versions. But now, with EA, my head hurts.
babyj1only Can you please clarify what you mean by the EA Games version? Do you mean Legacy Collection, or just the old Ultimate Collection installed from EA App?
If it's the former, you will need to copy the contents of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection folder to The Sims 2 Legacy folder (both located in Documents\EA Games\). Please keep in mind that you should absolutely not overwrite the files generated by The Sims 2 Legacy. Instead, empty out the Legacy folder then paste the contents of the Ultimate Collection folder in there. The new version should detect all your old saved files.
If it's the latter, Ultimate Collection from Origin is simply called The Sims 2 in EA App (no extra monikers such as Ultimate Collection). But its saved data will still be read regardless of where it was installed from.
