TS2 Legacy - After the February 4 patch....

On release February 1, I received the "graphics card not in database" message.   I managed to get the game to start in windowed mode and set compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3, able to set all game settings on high.  Graphics were ok, but not crisp. 

Today after patch update, get "preparing game", then black screen and EA App flips up.   Logs have nothing in them, attached is system/display adapter info.

May have found a bug yesterday when playing, Sims having a birthday party, homeless townie Ginger Newsome was on the lot attending the party, planned to grow her up when the window opened to have other Sims age up as well.  The age up window didn't pop.
