- Steel bladder is almost always the first one; it's just one less thing to manage in a large household.
- Steel bladder unless I'm playing a collector. Then I get simunity because they cant pick a single wildflower it seems without getting allergies.
- When I'm starting a new game, usually Observant. If I'm raising a child born in-game, usually multi-tasker. Over time most of my sims end up with both of those.
I never get No Bills. After the first couple of weeks, I find that getting rid of excess money is more of a problem than not enough money. - KevinL52758 years agoSeasoned AceMy opinion is steel bladder, hardly hungry, etc are kinda cheating yourself of the experience of a life simulation game. They're a part of life, and managing their needs is part of the fun for me. :) I will get dirt defiant though for a sports or gardener sim, because they get dirty and smelly so quickly.
I get fast learner and multi-tasker for my children as soon as I can, because it makes it so much easier for them to learn new things. - SpoilerSteel Bladder or other rewards that manage needs meters
i nearly never use the needs managing rewards, i prefer aging off or on long life or just pause, but usually TS3 is pretty relaxed to play for me even with a bigger family, only several todds are a bigger challenge
Observant, attractive or other social enhancement rewards
if i am playing a sim towards charisma, which often happens, already a traveler is well off with a developed charisma skill, then i use such rewards quite early in game, attractive not so much, it can become very obnoctious because the other sims react in a romantic way towards that sim & i play romantic aspirations rather rarely
No Bills Ever or Inheritance
rather later in game
Fast Learner or Multitasker
those are several rewards which i give many sims which have to progress fast in their career or school
Simunity or immune to heat or immune to cold
very seldom, i prefer just to click away the moodlet, illnesses in TS3 are as useful as the zombies imo
Extra Creative, Super Green Thumb or other trait enhancing rewards
very often, but that depends on the direction the sim has to go in life
Stone Hearted or Long Distance Friend or other rewards that buffer against loss of friends
some sims get it, those which need it
Prepared Traveler
only traveler sims get that & that's usually only one sim per game scenario
Collection Helper, Moodlet Manager or other objects
very seldom & rather very late in game, usually gardener sims or alchemists get the collection helper, i use the other rewards nearly never "KevinL5275;c-16272889" wrote:

My playing style focuses on simulating other aspects of their lives. It’s like when you watch a movie. You know the hero has to go to the toilet every now and then, you just don’t need to see it ;) I wouldn’t want to miss the need bars, the game would be dull if they weren’t there. But for me they are an on the side thing, not a focus. The reason I don’t choose the needing less sleep LTR is because it will mess with the day/night rythm. And that for me is quite important.- Long distance friend. Ticks me off after the effort of making a friend that you can lose them if you don't chat with them every day!

Understandable. :)
I will get the meditative trans sleep one for the police and medical professions that have to be up at all hours of the night on call. That way they get better sleep and aren't so tired when they have to go to work. - JayandMeeka8 years agoSeasoned AceI guess "speedy cleaner" would fall under this, but I almost always give them that. So necessary haha.
- NikkeiSimmer8 years agoLegendI find that with all the things that my sim has to do to ensure that they keep themselves financially afloat. Having them constantly going to the can makes them lose essential time that they need during the day. Especially when half the time, when you click them, they end up standing around for a half hour before they get their butt prodded into action. I don't do hardly hungry or dirt-defiant. I will send them to the kitchen to make food or shower when their cleanliness meter goes down, but that's the limit. Like @JoAnne65 stated: you don't need to see them go to the washroom. But pee/poop is a waste of time...on the whole, as the timing is not metered very accurately on certain actions. It doesn't take 25 min. to go in RL and frankly if it takes that long, then one needs to see an endocronologist to see if there are any underlying symptoms. :D Thanks, Sims 3, evidently no specialists in the medical field, huh? Because considering the time it takes for each sim to do their business, they all have pancreatic problems.
