Can't Get My Sims To 'Go Steady'

Hello,

I have been having a whole load of fun playing as a Sim who is trying to get a relationship with 10 different Males. She found a cute Sim and built up a good relationship, and then she asked to 'Go Steady'.

Once she found another Sim, she broke up with the first one. I regreted doing so and waited for 3 days, while sending 10+ 'Love Letters' a day to him.

She then built their relationship up again (Wasn't easy seeing as he was mad at her for Breaking Up in the first place, but he faded out of it). They have got the 'Extremely Irrisitable' mood right now towards eachother, but there is no option to 'Go Steady'.

Why is there no option to do so?

Is it because she broke up with him in the first place?

But surley you can get back with them after a while, right?

Please help me if you know how to fix this, but I am *not* downloading anymore MOD's, seeing as one messed up my game and I had to go through the trouble of re- downloading all my Sims 3 Games, I have a whole bunch of them and it took ages to complete again.

    It's a bug really. Sometimes relationships aren't cleaned up properly and the game still thinks they are still together.

    Try the following

    1. Save your game under a new name (as backup)
    2. Open the cheat console with ctl-shift-c
    3. Type testingcheatsenabled true
    4. Now you can drag their relationship all the way down (so they hate each others guts). Make sure they become enemies
    5. Go through the options and see if you have the option to break up somewhere (all good if you don't)
    6. Play maybe a day
    7. Drag the bar back up again and make them fall in love again to see if you then get the option

    I really don't know if that works but it's worth a try.

    Other options I have for this are basically using a third party mod. Would you wanna go down that road ? You'll be using at your own risk.
