@CentraMagik A couple of screenshots of the black pixel squares would be helpful. You can put your game in windowed mode (cmd-enter) and then use cmd-shift-4 to capture the section of screen you want to show.
Please also attach your deviceconfig.log to a post; it's in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. (You'll need to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search.) You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.
I don't know how to find the config log, but I am currently on a MacBook Air (I don't know what year), and am running High Sierra.
Still the same issues and EA haven't been active since the first update. I think they've abandoned us lol
@CentraMagik I described how to find the deviceconfig.log here:

I also have shiny hair and blocky eyelashes.
And that’s will be useful for that problem? I have the same, with the hair.
@aerowenia The deviceconfig is useful for people with the grainy hair because that issue doesn't affect everyone. The file shows your graphics chip or card, OS and driver version, and graphics settings, which can help identify and reproduce the issue. I don't know whether it will ever be fixed, but more info can only help.
- @puzzlezaddict It won’t allow me to delete my user and computer name. How do i do it?
@CheeringPenguins Open the file with TextEdit: right-click and select "Open With."
I'm having this exact same issue - huge block eyelashes, static hair. I'm running the 64bit on Catalina, 2018 Macbook Air. The game runs amazingly smooth, handles mods and CC - but that static + eyelash thing sucks. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for EA to patch, either. Has anyone found a solution that works, like using CC eyelashes to replace the default?
My only other issues (that seem to be similar to the create a sim is 1) snow falls everywhere except my home lot - animations still exist when walking through snow, can still build snowmen, etc but it's just bare ground and 2) terrain paint does not work WHATSOEVeR. My best guess is graphics conversion issue from normal to the 64bit game that hasn't been fixed yet since they've been pumping out Sims 4 games. I know those are both known bugs as well, but can someone direct me to a master thread on those, please?
