Editted: Apparently this isn't how to add a screen shot since the link was disabled. ☹️

that could be bad cc or your computer got a virus asyou said here http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/Big-Red-X/m-p/252600/highlight/true#M13545
when was the last time you updated java , flash player and adobe air
I got rid of the virus and I run my anti-virus daily but this red X persists. I know I have bad CC but can't get to the part of the launcher to find it and uninstall it with that red X there. It interfers with the thumbnails and I can't tell what is what.
. . . . . . . I don't know.
LOL!!
I'll check for updates right now.
😕mileyhappy: i know i want to get to the root of it too :cathappy: check for graphics card update too not the automatic pc updates if your card is nvidea go to their site if ati/amd go to their site
I found updates for all 3 - java , flash player and adobe air.
There was also an update for my video card and a couple for Windows. These are still installing.
WTH?
I thought I had my pc set to update automatically.
hope you be waiting too long for the updates 🙂
I got everything you suggested updated and I checked for updates for my anti-virus and my system mechanic (both of which were up to date) and restarted my sims launcher. . . . . . . .and still have that **bleep** red X.
>☹️
I was soooo hoping the updates were the problem too.
the redx is getting as bad as "liam" ...do you have mods that are outdated
Ok, the launcher kept saying I needed an updated version of Flash which I have installed and updated repeatedly so I uninstalled Origin and redownloaded it. I just restarted my launcher and SO FAR it is red X free.
Hopefully it's just a problem with Origin and this fixed it.
