DLCs purchased through EA app won't install

Yesterday I purchased the Roaring Heights, Hidden Springs, and Monte Vista expansions via the EA app.  I went to TheSims3.com and registered the key for Hidden Springs there. The content will not ...

    Doesn't work.  

    Tried Firefox to DL one of the items.  It pops up with a notice saying things like please make sure your game isn't launched, it will download and show in the launcher for the game, and so forth.  

    Short version is that it does not download anything.  Firefox has no popup blockers.  

    I deleted and reinstalled all Sims 3 content, which included deleting the WINE folder which had documents/EA arts in it.  

    The problem persists.  

    If it's a WINE issue that's fine, but I want a refund.
