So you've downloaded the physical file that is now on your hard drive somewhere and then double clicked on it and when it was finished your launcher tells you, you're base game is now at 1.42 ?
I've searched the harddrive and it's not there, like I cannot find it. Not in downloads. I have noooo idea where it went. When the download finishes the thing just disappears as if it's been installed and then I go to install seasons. I don't update through seasons install because it crashes and I have to kill everything, so I use the updater as if I'm playing a normal game through the launcher. I've completely uninstalled all the sims now because when I've tried to play normally (through Showtime the newest expansion pack I own) and after choosing the game I want to play it crashes and says it has a problem that cannot be fixed. Probably due to the fact it's either partially downloaded the patch (annoyingly so since I've downloaded it twice and still it doesn't appear to have patched).
I can run Battlefield 3 on this computer really smoothly without any hiccups so I don't think it has anything to do with my graphics/space/ram. I really don't know what else to do. I'm planning to just update my base game to 1.42 now before installing all my expansion packs (Showtime, Late Night, Generations, Pets & now Seasons) although I'll have to wait another week so I can afford to try download it again due to this bloody patch being so big.
