HELP ! why wont my sims 3 work..
I recently brought the new sims 4 game. I completely uninstalled all my sims 3 packs thinking that the sims 4 would be amazing and well worth its price.... i was very wrong. along with installing the new game I also installed the new software it required to work. this all went very well until i started playing the game... it would then freeze and just not work at all, to add to my disappointment i then could not return the new game... that was £40 wasted !.
before jumping to any conclusion i took my laptop to the shop, they checked it and told me that my laptop was perfectly capable to running this game. But once i got home i uninstalled the newer software and the sims 4 game. as i came to the realization that i much preferred the sims 3. But then, once i had reinstalled all the old software and the games that i once loved to play... it would not work; the graphics were awful, it would last one 20 minutes then to freeze and crash... but me not thinking it was the games fault but my computers. so i took it back to the shop where i purchased the PC and they completely cleaned up my laptop they took out all the software that was slowing it down and pretty much made it into a brand new laptop which was a lot faster and more capable due to the extra space, then the employees went a step extra and played the game themselves to make sure it worked and was up to standard. which it was. so i then took home my laptops and games thinking it would work...i then got a newer extension pack for my game as i knew that the laptop had enough space, but due to it being a newer game it needed an update on one of the many software that makes sims work. but I was told that my laptop is capable.... i was once again very wrong... it would still freeze and crash. we then phoned the shop once again but we were assured that the laptop was capable. there is no issue with my laptop. so i thought "what if i uninstalled all the games and put them back on?". like starting fresh. but now the base game of sims 3 will not even download on to the laptop..... i have spent alot of time and money.. and all i want to do it play the game..... so i am asking why wont it work.... i have the capable laptop, enough space and a very good graphics card..... but why wont the game work ????????
