I've been playing the same for almost a year. I've occasionally encountered crashes but I play on Mac and that's par for the course. However, every time I try to age up this baby, the minute she becomes a toddler, the game freezes. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work (including cleaning up the save with Regul Save Cleaner. Desperate for ideas! Help!
Georgiapeach8 Do you use any custom content at all, and if so, does it help to remove it? Sometimes bad cc can attach to an infant or toddler and cause crashing issues.
If you don't use cc, or removing it doesn't help, try evicting the household and placing them back. As long as you do it in one Edit Town session, without saving and replacing the sims, they'll keep their jobs and relationships, but lose their promised wishes and opportunities. You don't have to save your progress.
Taking out CC hasn't done anything unfortunately. And even worse, evicting them makes the game crash :/
Georgiapeach8 Do you use mods, specifically NRaas mods? If so, or if you're willing to add them, I would suggest MasterController along with ErrorTrap and Overwatch. Run an MC reset on the baby (click the sim and select NRaas > MC > Advanced > Reset Sim), and if that doesn't help, on the lot (click on the house itself or the ground and select NRaas > MC > Reset Lot).
If that alone doesn't help, do it again, let the game clock run for a few sim-minutes, save, quit, delete the five cache files in your user folder:
Then reload the save, run another MC reset, and try again to age up the infant. Please test this with no custom content present.
