Help

Whenever I try to install any of my stuff it doesn't work, evrey time i go back into this screen to check if it's done it just says install again, I've tried everything it feels like.

  • Preseyd​  If your existing installed Store content is corrupted, installing more on top of it isn't going to help.  So you'll need to remove some or all of the content first.  Store content is bundled into .ebc files in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > DCCache, with the oldest file being dcdb0.ebc and the numbers going up from there.  (The files that end in .dbc are custom content and can be ignored for the purpose of this discussion.)

    If some of your Store content is working, but not the new stuff, you can try removing only the highest-numbered .ebc file, then reinstalling one or two Store items.  If those work, install the rest, in batches, and test again.  If this doesn't work, remove the two highest-numbered files and try again.

    If no Store content works, remove all .ebc files as well as ccmerged.package in the DCBackup folder.  This file is required for premium content to work and can also get corrupted, so if you have to reinstall your Store stuff from scratch anyway, you might as well start with a fresh ccmerged too.

    In all cases, it's best to install only a few items at a time, and worlds one at a time, as the launcher doesn't handle large amounts of data very well.
