I just wanted to give you my gratitude for taking the time to answer this question for (some of) us. I have gotten this error message three times now but (prior to today) hadn't been able to find out why it was doing it or how to fix it. So, for supplying the answer and helping me with the (pretty simple) fix, I give you a gigantic THANK YOU!!!!!!! I'm not sure how to give you XP, but I will research it until I can do so. Again, I REALLY appreciate you! CheesyStrings (aka Tara H.)

You can give XP by going to the post you want to give XP to and then click on the white XP button at the lower right side of the post (next to the blue reply button)
I also have this problem and can not play my games. I have downloaded items from the store and they are in the game launcher but I can't get the statues to say installed.

Is this just about the content not showing or can you not start your game ? What happens if you try to start the game ? Did you click yes/no on the message (yes, I'm aware that it pops back up)
EDIT: Try if resetting the Internet Explorer to factory settings does anything for you.
I have been having this problem for about two months now, and I am getting really really frrustrated. Everytime I open the launcher, I get this script error. Whether I click yes or no doesn't seem to make a difference. I go to play the game, it loads normally, and I'll start playing, but then the game crashes after anywhere between 10 min to an hour. It is super stressful, because I'll start thinking "Oh maybe it'll be good this time," and then it still crashes. Nothing I seem to do helps. I've gone through and made sure every program you listed was up to date, both Chrome and IE are up to date, I've cleared IE's cache. I've tried checking the launcher for game updates and it tells me my game is up to date. I am getting really stressed because I have not been able to play Sims 3 for almost two months, and I do not know what to do to fix this.
No one else has mentioned the crashing problem, though I'm fairly certain it's not something else because the game started the crashing when it started showing me that script error.

The sponserpay error has nothing to do with your game crashing. It's an error on EA's side and there's nothing you can do.
It's best if you made your own thread for the crashing.
Have you tried all the stuff here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Game-Crashes-CTD/td-p/656/ ?
- What is your operating system
- At what point does your game crash ? Any regularities ?
- How long can you usually play ?
- Which EP/SPs do you have installed ?
- Are you using custom content and mods in your game ?
- It's also good to include your DxDiag: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/HOW-TO-DxDiag-for-Sims-3-PC-Only/td-p/1049584

My launcher was fine then suddenly I was getting script errors randomly. For the last couple days I've been getting the sponsorpay script error. I have already made sure that Origin, Java, Flash Player, Adobe Air, .Net Framework and Windows are all up to date and they are.
- Anonymous12 years agoI had this problem as well and because the error was caused by an 'url' , I shot down my WiFi entirely. And it worked, I no longer receive the error and the game doesn't crash anymore. This is the easiest way!

Hi this error keeps coming up on my brand new laptop which really freaked me out!! Running all other games fine in high graphics but as soon as I go to play Sims 3 this keeps coming up and the game is lagging so much it is unplayable. Any ideas how to fix this please??

Hi! My daughter has had problems with the same message. We have tried pressing Yes and No, not matter what the game doesn´t open. All we get is a few seconds of black screen, and then we are back to origin. According to origin the game is on so we can´t turn it off, unless I go into the pc joblist and shut it off there. This problem has been going on for a long time. In the beginning after a few tries the game would turn on, but now there is only a black screen! What can we do?
