Missing SimPoints from The Sims 3 Store

Hello everyone!

I bought the Base Game through Steam, linked my Steam account with the EA App, and both show that my game is redeemed. However, when I paste the CD key on the Sims 3 Store to redeem my SimPoints, I get the following error: The serial code you entered is invalid. Please enter a valid serial code and re-submit.

I have used only one email for my Steam, EA and The Sims 3 Store accounts. When I log into my account on the Sims launcher and in the game (I run it through Steam first), it still shows that I have 0 SimPoints. I've contacted EA and the respresentative could only report the bug to the developement team and suggest for me to search for answers here.

Has anyone faced and overcome this problem? 1000 SimPoints are not too many, but I want to claim them.

Thank you for your time!!

However, the free SimPoints offer stopped working some time ago and hasn't been fixed, and probably won't be fixed in the future.  Here's the master thread if you're interested:
