My game is red (PC 64-bit)

Question

Hello!I've come across a few people with the same issue that I'm having but I have not yet found a solution for it. Basically after loading up my game the other day, objects and sims gradually began to turn red. After trying seemingly every solution (including reinstalling my game, which only seemed to make it even worse) it's still not going away. I have also tried to run the game without any mods or custom content to see if that was causing the issue, but it wasn't, as well as playing around with the graphic settings. It's affecting every save, even new ones. I read somewhere that this can happen when you change the resolution in game which I did because I changed my display setup. If anyone has a solution for this, please let me know!&nbsp;I have attached a screenshot of what my game currently looks like.

@Te0dir&nbsp; Please try playing a new save in a clean user folder.&nbsp; Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.&nbsp; Don't add anything to it yet; just see whether a new save has the same problem.

If it does, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict&nbsp;Thanks for your answer! Creating a completly new folder worked and I may have figured out that the issue is coming from my Downloads-folder, so I guess I'm gonna have to find the issue there.

@Te0dir&nbsp; The files in Downloads are only read by the launcher, not the game itself, so they shouldn't affect your game.&nbsp; Still, it's easy to add back one folder at a time and test.

@puzzlezaddict It seems like the issue only applies to custom lots or lots that are placed down/aren't a part of the original world. E.g. all the ep lots that automatically gets added to Sunset Valley are all red, while the lots that come with the world are normal. This whole thing is so confusing and I have literally spent hours looking for the source of the issue without any solution.

@Te0dir&nbsp; Is this true in a clean user folder, or only one that already has mods or custom content?&nbsp; Does this happen only if you let the game place those lots, or also if you place them yourself?&nbsp; There's a mod from Bluegenjutsu on Sims Asylum that prevents auto-placing of lots from expansion packs not related to the given world, i.e. I think Twinbrook would still have a fire station and consignment store, but it shouldn't get a pet shop.
