broodyruby If your password has special characters in it, please remove those so it only contains letters and numbers.
Either way, please rename the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts so that a new folder spawns the next time you open the launcher. This will prevent the game from reading your saves and other user data, but everything will be intact and can be restored later. This is just a test.
Please also clear Edge's Internet Explorer-mode data, as described towards the end of this article:
Continue to use Firefox, but try to download the world from its product page, if it's showing as owned there, rather than from your purchase history. If you get the login pop-up, refresh the page rather than trying to login, which shouldn't be necessary.
And if you use a VPN, please disable it while testing.
If none of this helps, let me know what kind of install this is—EA App or Steam—and if Steam, whether the base game product code from Steam is registered to your EA account. It sounds like it is, but I'm asking in case you bought the game from Steam at some later point.
You can ignore the message about the uploading process still running. It's irrelevant and due to something EA changed on the server side years ago; it doesn't cause any harm.
Hey - same issue here. I bought Dragon World gold and Roaring Heights gold. Neither will download. And I keep getting the same pop up login box. I even changed my password and it won't accept it. I've done all the steps that the tech's advised and nothing worked. I did your suggestion above, still nothing. I can not bypass the login box at all. I can try over and over to login or just hit cancel. I don't know what else to do.
