No Welcome/(HTTP) 500 - Internal Server Error (Windows 11, Microsoft Edge)

I either have no Welcome or a (HTTP) 500 - Internal Server Error in The Sims 3 Launcher. I can log in both in The Launcher (Downloads, Uploads) and in the game. Due to no Welcome or (HTTP) 500 - Internal Server Error, I can't install The Sims 3 Store Content, both via The Sims 3 Launcher and in the game (Downloads Dashboard).

I have Windows 11. I only found advice for (HTTP) 500 - Internal Server Error, when you have Internet Explorer, but I have Microsoft Edge. So far I've reset settings, deleted cache and cookies, and cleared Internet Explorer browsing data using Microsoft Edge. The worst thing is that I don't even use Microsoft Edge.

Both EA app and Origin are installed. I'm using Origin, because The Sims 3 Store Content keeps uninstalling in the EA app.

I hope someone will help me. I would like to start using the newly purchased The Sims 3 Store Content.

  • @Sylmos  Clearing Edge's IE mode data was the right thing to do, and it's unfortunate that that didn't help.  Do you get the same error if you try playing in a clean user folder?  Rename or remove the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, at least temporarily, and see whether the launcher loads normally.
