Not able to send gifts for the past 2+ days

so for the last 2 days i have not been able to send gifts. i keep getting a message that says i have to wait 24hrs but its been over 72hrs or so since the last time i sent gifts. im not sure what to do

  • Nidashahid87​  Try clearing Edge's Internet Explorer-mode data, which is where the game and launcher store some web-related data.

    If that doesn't help, please try playing in a new user folder, as a test.  Rename the existing Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts; it doesn't matter what you rename it to as long as the name changes.  When you open the launcher, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether you can send gifts.

    The idea here is to find out whether the problem is some file in your user folder or is elsewhere.  If the new folder helps, you can transfer your saves and anything else you want to keep from the old folder, and pick up where you left off.  If it doesn't help, you can delete the new folder and restore the old one's name.

    I have tried everything i can think of after i posted this. ive naturally closed and opened the game many times, i have shut down my computer, i have cleared all cache for sims 3 and i have even started a new game. the problem still persists.

    how do i clear edges internet explorer mode?
