Simport refuses to let me host at all, problem with my account?
First off, this would all be SO much easier if I could find EA live chat, but I've been completely unable to find the option for it anywhere, I'm on the verge of having an aneurysm!
But anyways, while I've already posted about this issue before, I've since learned a bit more about my issue. What's been happening recently is that I've been unable to host simport requests, even though I've managed to host performers from the exact same friends before. For one of the friends I'm trying to host from, if I click on the button to accept the hosting request... nothing happens. At all. For the other one, I'm able to get a little further, I'll get the prompt that says I can't save or edit town while I'm hosting a friend's performer, so would I like to save beforehand? After that, what's supposed to happen is that I'd soon after get a notification stating when and where my friend's sim is going to perform. However, in this case, I never get a notification, even after waiting an entire in-game day, and the sim never shows up! Of course, if I try to save, the game still warns me that I'll "cancel the performance"
even though I've received absolutely ZERO indication it would ever happen. What's especially odd about all this is that it happens in every single one of my save games. It still happens if I start a new game, and it even still happens if I take out my user folder and start from scratch! (At least, after logging in so I HAVE hosting requests to accept.)
This all started after I used NRAAS debug enabler to try and fix a sim who the game wouldn't let me send via simport, even though she was perfectly eligible for it. While I know that that's a mod, I've asked on their forums, and they've said that the mod is just unlocking EA's debug commands, and that they themselves don't know what some of the options do- especially in the case of the "passport" options (which all relate to simport.)
I've scoured the internet, but I've been unable to find anyone who's had my problem before (or at least anyone's who's posted about it) I'm putting this out there in hopes that a Simguru finds this and is able to fix it from their end, since I'm not sure if it's even possible for me to fix it from mine.
