Sims 3 cheats wont work after installing World Editor

Hello,

I was trying to install the world editor but it doesn't recognize the steam platform (Since I purchased it from steam). I followed a tutorial from youtube by making a copy of a file from regedit and removing the word (Steam on everyfile). Then I decided to uninstall the word editor now the game play is messed up. The camera wont rotate if i use a mouse and the cheats wont work aswell. I'm pretty sure theres other stuff that wont work normally.. Now i tried validating the game cache and even reinstalling the game itself.. Still wont work. Please help
