my game randomly crashes when i play a few minutes. It really bugs me, because i played a week before the update came and everything was fine. But since then, it became unplayable for me.
I have no cc or mods in game and i play over the ea app. I am really out of ideas of what to do. I repaired the game twice and cleared my cache but nothing works... :(
I'm able to open the launcher and load the game. I can't open any of my worlds. The game is unplayable, and I have tried every tip on forums and YouTube.
I'm able to play for a few hours usually before the game crashes.. But then it just crashes alot after trying to play again. I believe it's called error code 12? Anyways I hope they fix it
VaniBrunner 42b86c2824de1b5e Please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
TuniPuni1 Error 12 is an out of resources condition, usually but not always due to the game going over the RAM limit. (This limit is the game's not your computer's, at least most of the time.) How much memory is Sims 3 using when you first load it? What about after you've been playing for an hour or so? You can check in the Task Manager. Put the game into windowed mode, but don't minimize it.
Please also let me know how much RAM your computer has overall.
After the update mine was crashing every half hour or so, now it lasts between 30 seconds - 2 minutes before it crashes...
I moved the game to my desktop. Now my origin won't open at all. I have even tried moving the file back.
EEMackie What exactly did you move to your desktop, as in, where was the folder before and what's currently inside it? And do you mean that the EA App won't open?
I'm wondering if you happened to move the Electronic Arts folder in Program Files. This folder contains data for the EA App, nothing to do with Sims 3 directly. And moving this folder would definitely make the App stop working. To fix it, delete the folder you moved, download a fresh copy of the App installer, run it, and either let the App install or choose Repair if you get the message that it's already installed.

EEMackie The newer Sims 3 crashes in your dxdiag point to the graphics driver, and this driver is known to have issues with some DirectX 9 games. So try updating the driver to the newest one Intel offers for your processor and graphics chip:
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the driver and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
If you get an error when trying to install this driver, that's just HP software blocking the installation of any driver not provided directly by HP. There's a way around it:
