I just bought and downloaded sims 3 generations and everything was downloaded and installed just fine, but when I went to play it, it kept loading island paradise instead. So I uninstalled the game itself and all the EPs then reinstalled the game and generations only, but now when I try and load generations it brings me to the launcher, I press the play button, and all I get is a black screen with a blue spinning wheel. I'm playing on windows 8. Thanks!

examples of how the games work you have the sims 3 base game then buy seasons you will play from the seasons expansion the base game will combine for playing then say you buy university the game will play from (again the others combine for playing ) that as it is your newest installed released game then say you buy an older released game like generations you will still play from the uni one as it is the newest released installed game you own and installed
