Sims 3 Island Paradise Expansion Pack Installed But Not Showing In Game

So, I have had this problem for a while now and haven't been able to find a good solution. I have recently got a new laptop and before I installed the sims on this laptop, Island Paradise was working great on my old laptop. The expansion shows as installed on Origin but on the 'Expansions and stuff' section of the launcher, it doesn't show and it also doesn't show in game, here are some screenshots to prove. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game and no luck. Please help as I don't fancy buying it again and I really love this EP.

  • @Katythehawker123  You can try clearing Origin's cache, and if that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling Origin only, which wouldn't affect your installed games.

    If these steps don't help, it's possible that IP was removed from your account.  This could be a mistake, but if you bought the EP from an unauthorized third-party seller, you might have received a bad code.  For over a year, EA has been systematically deactivating codes that were originally stolen or otherwise fraudulently obtained, even though players usually had no idea that there was anything wrong with their purchases.

    The only way to find out if this has happened, or to correct a mistake, is to contact EA customer support and have someone on that end look at your account.  If you did in fact buy the pack through Origin or another legitimate seller, it would be helpful to have any proof of purchase or ownership (receipt; photos of disc, case, insert; etc.) on hand for the chat.

  • I did try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin itself and it didn't help, I did buy this EP off a seller from Ebay but I have bought all my EPs from this seller and never had a problem with them, I will try deleting the cache,thank you

  • Clearing the cache didn't seem to work, anything else you could suggest? Or how would I go about purchasing it again as it says it's purchased on my Origin

    @Katythehawker123  Have you contacted the the vendor you purchased IP from?  The code is used to activate the license you pay for to use the software. If the code is determined to be improperly sold EA has the right to block the code under the TOS (terms of service). Ebay is like a online flea market and for the most part it is buyer beware. You need to contact EA support and determine if the code is valid. If the code is invalid you meed to contact the Ebay vendor about the issue. If the vendor won't help you you could file a claim with Ebay or with the financial institution you used to pay for the code. I recommend buying from an authorized seller in the future.

  • I bought this item years ago and has been deleted from my purchase history, I am okay with buying it again at this point but i wouldn't know how to go about it as it says it's been purchased on Origin, I will also try contacting EA, thank you

    @Katythehawker123  You'll need to ask someone from EA customer support to remove the pack from your account, and then you'll be able to buy it again or add another code.
