taytaylewlew11 Did you run the Terminal command before or after you uninstalled the game? It says that there is a Sims 3.app (green plumbob icon) directly in Documents and a "The Sims 3 Packs" folder there too. Please delete them if they're stilll present.
Next, please reinstall it to the default location, which is Applications > EA Games. Try to run the game again. If you still can't play, open Documents, then Electronic Arts, and drag the Sims 3 folder inside to the desktop. Do NOT touch any other folder. And do NOT search for this Sims 3 folder—it's hidden and won't show up in a standard search. You need to manually open Documents and then Electronic Arts.
I did all of the above, and it still glitching. The screen is flashing which is hard to tell from the photo.
