sims 3 store content: I "do not own the item"
Recently I have been getting back into the Sims 3 games. I have spent A LOT of resources purchasing the packs and other additional content from the Sims 3 store (https://store.thesims3.com/). We're talking about hundreds of items. I was able to re-download most of the packs, but when I try to download store items I get this error:
"We're sorry, but you do not own the item you are trying to download. Please visit www.thesims3.com for more information about purchasing this item."
I see the items in my purchase history, and these items were in my game for several years without issue before I uninstalled the game. I have contacted EA help agents several times trying to resolve this. I have tried:
- deleting designated cache files
- uninstalling/reinstalling the game
- uninstalling/reinstalling Origin
- uninstalling/reinstalling the EA app
- resetting my computer
- not having mods/CC after re-installation
- waiting for the "fix" that EA agents did to take effect
This has been an issue for several months now. I suspect that there is something weird going on with my EA account. Help would be greatly appreciated!
