Sims 3 University Life keeps saying it's encountered a problem and needs to close ?

I am currently having a problem at the moment with loading the Sims 3 game but it used to work 3 months ago, it keeps saying it's encountered a problem and needs to close send error report don't send, I have reinstalled it and it's said the same thing and I have looked at what the error is and it's TS3W.exe so I don't know how to go about resolving the issue. Can anybody give me any tips on how to resolve the issue? It meets the requirements to play the game, but it just won't load and let me play because it keeps coming up with that same issue encountered a problem and needs to close.

Without all that it was fine 3 months ago I was able to play it and everything but not now. I did a test to see if I can run Sims 3 and the lab from the internet says I meet the requirements which I knew I did anyway.

In your response to your question I was able to play with all the expansions I had and I updated the game then it was fine until I had a virus which was a rootkit got rid of it but for some unknown reason can't play the game.

Yeah tried doing it through Windowed Mode and it still showed the same thing.

Did you update those drivers ?

And you didn't add any extra patches or EPs or custom content you didn't have before you had the virus ?
