Sims 3 Update 1.69 has broken my game.
First off, I have no mods. Second off, ever since I updated to 1.69 it crashes right after I launch the game. I'm distraught at this point. I've been attempting to fix this garbage update since 9pm last night, it's after 4am now. I installed ModTheSims Crash Log Analyzer after several hours of uninstalling and reinstalling all my expansions and main game. It's telling me "Skversion.txt file for The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff is either missing or corrupt" Which it's not, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the expansion at least 10 times. I had absolutely no issues before this crappy update.
@MsApexNightmare If you can run CLA then I'm assuming your computer is a pc and not a mac. Is HELS a digital download or disc? Is there a file named skuversion in the program folder? If all is good you may try an uninstall and THEN use a registry cleaner like ccleaner from Piriform (there is a free version) THEN install the pack.
