Sims 3 update not working
I recently got the Sims 3 base game for Christmas. I have downloaded and installed the disc onto my PC, and registered an account with Origin. I can launch the base game, but it will not allow me to log onto my account until I install the newest update of the Sims 3. Yesterday, I tried to install the update to the newest version of the Sims. It took roughly 2.5 hours to install the 1.6GB of the update. When it was finished, I opened the launcher and it told me that there was an update available right after I was done updating it the first time. I tried to update again, and the same thing happened. So I decided to try to install and reinstall the base game disc, which took a lengthy 10 hours. It then told me I needed to update, so I tried to, and I thought it had worked... that is until I opened the launcher and it told me that I needed to update it again in order to log into my account to access the online featured for the Sims 3. I am very confused as to what to do next, because I am tired of waiting 2 hours to update the game only to have to keep updating it repeatedly. I am currently downloading the Super Patcher to try and update the game, but I am still frustrated! HELP?????
