Sims freezes only in main world, not in the world of university...
When I play the sims 3, the game freezes in the main worlds after 5-15 minutes. When I minimalise the game and open it again (the color off the screen is a bit darker) I get just the time to save the game and shut it down. I can play further with the screen who has turned a bit darker, but it freezes again or the game shuts down by itself.
Strange is that the game doesn't stop working when my sims go to college. Neither when I play Sims 3 adventures. Only in the main worlds do I have this problem.
I tried:
- resetsim all (in the game)
- deleting cache en thumbnails off all the games
- I put the necessary files at the DEP
- I updated the drivers off the graphics card
- I play the game in a smaller resolution
- Most animations are shut down at the options off the game
I am looking for another idea to help me.

Does that mean you have two graphic cards in there ? A radeon and the hd graphics ? If so, make sure, the game is running the radeon one:
@DarkAmaranth1966 wrote:Right click anywhere on the desktop. That opens a menu with various options that includes the option to "Configure switchable graphics". After selecting this, another window opens for the Radeon that will allow the user to choose that card for whatever programs they want. There is also a check box in this window that says "show a pop up warning for unassigned applications". That should be checked. The next time the user runs the game, a pop up should open and let them designate the better graphics card for the game. After that, it should stay on the Radeon card.
Also try updating your graphic drivers. The one from the hd graphics are from 2011.
