sims3 launcher welcome page is blue and cant log in

please help I'm getting upset when i open sims 3 the welcome page is complete blue the downloads to game updates work fine but when i go to the welcome page its blank i can play the game fine but i cant log in and when i hit forgot password it comes up with an error. http 500 internal server error i tried it figure it out on my own because my dads asleep and I'm only 16 and terrible with fixing errors. i have two more games to download (Monte vista and dragon valley) but these go back to the logging in problem I put my email and password in and hit login and it just blink back with my info and does not go any further. in able to log in fine to thesims3.com and origin.com but not in the launcher or inside the game. if I'm not able to fix it ill just have to wait till my dad can tomorrow.....sigh 😢 😞 hope something works 🤞

    I seem to be having the same issue. I can log in to the website but via the launcher it just pops the same login box up again. My password & e-mail is correct as I've checked, double checked and triple checked. Therefore I can't re-download some store content such as Riverview. (I had to uninstall/reinstall the game recently). I see a lot of solutions involving Internet Explorer, but I don't use that. I use Opera exclusively. I've not even activated it in years.

    I've been having the same problem for a couple of days now, as have a bunch of other people on the site. This is something on EA or Origins end, there is probably nothing that we could do that would fix it.

    @dippsp  The issue isn't on EA's end, or there would be many more reports about it.  Feel free to try clearing Internet Explorer's cache, as has worked for most of the posters in this thread.

    Holy Crap this Worked for me!! And its 2020!! I just Changed PC's and updated the drives and stuff and I wanted to play sims 3 island paradise and I couldn't sign in. The game Launcher kept saying the web browser isnt working THANK YOUUU SOOOO MUCH!!!

    MadiiLuvhsYuh​ I'm LOLing at "And its 2020," because it's now 2026 and I'm saying the same thing haha! Thank you GrimApachexx​ !!! I've been trying to figure this out since last night. I did everything-deleted all the cache files, deleted downloads, cleared cache on browsers, repaired the game, even deleted the entire sims 3 folder... EVERYTHING! This was my last resort before completely reinstalling the game. Thanks again! :)

    Glad you got it sorted Isabella5sos​ ! I'm just locking this thread because as you said it's pretty old, but anyway enjoy the game!
