slow download (edited)

I'm on a PC. The download speed is coming up at 50 kb/sec and time remaining is 42 hours. I tried pausing, restarting, rebooting my computer, etc. My internet connecton is fine -- I downloaded a powerpoint that was larger than this earlier today. I read online that it might be Origin's servers? Does anyone have the same problem, know what's causing it, or know how to solve this?

    I just chatted with a game advisor and was told to uninstall Origin and then reinstall it...possibly corrupted files slowed the download? I will try it and get back to anyone who's reading.

    Also I apologize for floating this message. I thought floating it would send it to the top...not into the blue section...

    Floating only sends it to the blue section for you. It's a way you can have them up there for yourself.

    Only heroes and CM can float threads for everyone.

    Just an update, uninstalling and reintsalling origin then restarting the download of the game seemed to help a little bit! download speeds have picked up to about 100kb/sec although whether they will stay that way still remain to be seen. Thank you!
