Variation on Pressing Play Does Nothing

Did you ever clean out your user data, meaning, did you delete the files in documents ?

Do you feel the game crashes from start or that it doesn't even load ?

Can you check if you have any xcpt files in documents\electronicarts\thesims3 (those are crash logs and will give you an indication if it crashes right away or never starts.

Yes.  After uninstalling Steam and Origin, I also did a program search and deleted everything that had Steam or Origin as part of the file name

Not sure.  I get the initial startup screen (the one that has the big round triangle symbol for "play" on it), but it fails after clicking on that.

 Yes.  One is an MDMP File that is 207KB, the other is a Text Document that is 20KB.  However, they're both dated 3/22/13.  That was when I just had Sims3 and Sims3 After Dark with Steam, and they both ran fine during that time.

That's the weirdest DxDiag I've ever seen. Wonder if something is wrong with your hardware.

Let me try to find someone that knows more about that kind of stuff to help you out. I'm not that good with hardware.

Seems it doesn't really crash if your crash logs are that old.

If it's of any help, this is the DXDiag from the User profile, rather than the Admin profile.  I dunno if that makes any difference...

Does your user profile have admin rights ?

It might make a difference. Did you try starting the game from the admin account ? Or at least start it as administartor ?

Another suggestion would be to use ccleaner on your computer to clean up any left over references.

The user profile will sometimes ask for a the admin password to do stuff.  But I've tried running Sims3/Supernatural on the admin profile, with the exact same results as noted above.

What is ccleaner?

ccleaner is a registry cleaner do a search for ccleaner get it from piriform 

ccleaner loaded and run.  Aaaaaand....the same results.
