@AllieMac With your stories, I'm ALWAYS ready to give it a re-read! It looks good. I like it better this time around, it makes more sense and flows better. I know what you mean about publishing before you do a final proofread. Sometimes it's just so darn exciting, you just hurry it through the process. I know that's sometimes what I do. I always try to go back and re-read at least one more time, just to be sure. In fact, last night, for some unknown reason I felt the need to go back and re-read my Drifter series. I found a few typos that have slid past me all this time.. and some links I forgot to add.. so it definitely wasn't wasted time. It was fun to take a trip down memory lane, too, since this last generation I felt less connected with the family somehow. Reading it over reminded me of so much and got me really interested in playing them again. I'm so excited for you to have a new story for when your Drifters seem to be bogging you down. Sometimes a change of pace is just what's needed, you know?
I thought I had responded to this the other day! Ooopsies!! I find myself going back and reading my older generations from time to time, too. It usually prompts me to add a reference to something that happened long ago and like you said it can really help you reconnect with a family.
I'm so excited to see that Switch Two is out. But I'm going to force myself to wait to read it until I finish the first one.
I had been hoping to work on Alora's story over this past weekend, but it didn't happen. :( When I had the ideas, there was no time. And when I had the time, all the ideas were gone. But isn't that how it usually seems to work? I'm hoping to get her story started today, but we'll see. There's a thin little thread just waiting to be tugged that will hopefully unlock the inspiration for her. I just have to get a hold of it. I'm pretty sure once I get her first chapter written, it should start to click into place.
She has completed the first step and moved into apartment 2. I love how the first one turned out and can't wait to show y'all. :) It's weird being back in an empty space again during the same generation. hehe
