Do you really think players like me — who pay $50 or more every time a new expansion drops — are going to be thrilled that new players get everything for way less? Lmao.
Also, what piracy? The Sims 4 base game is literally free now. since October 18, 2022. What exactly are people “pirating”? Lmao.
Prov31Simmer is right — the devs already run rotating sales at 30–50% off. That’s the actual discount system. You’re not going to get a £50 bundle that gives new players £1,400 worth of content while people like me pay $50 per expansion.
You’re basically asking EA to punish the people who actually fund the game just to reward people who never paid anything. It’s not happening.
I will say that I got most of the stuff packs for $2.50, I got half of the game packs for around $12 to $15. A couple of the expansions I purchased for $20. So waiting always is key. I do not buy at launch and refuse to pay full price. On a positive note, a majority of the bugs are found and fixed before I even have the content.
The only downside is missing preorder exclusive content but for the most part it's not that much of a big deal.
