Business and Hobbies critiques
I have a few critiques about the new DLC, business and hobbies that would make things much better if changed.
1. Have an hours of operation setting. A setting where you can choose how long and what days your small business is open that sims will abide to. When closing time nears, customers start finishing what they’re doing, others stop showing up as much (except maybe for a random rare problematic person that just doesn’t get the message that could be added to the game), employees start showing customers out, etc.
2. The ability to have auto lights in public areas after hours. Maybe this is a bug but my lights will NOT turn off unless I set them all manually one by one to turn off (in the public areas of my small business).
3. Faster candy making (and anything else with the same principle) when it’s only 1 serving verses 4 and 8.
4. Easier and smarter Sim task execution when an item like lollipops, jellybeans, cotton candy and baked goods are done being created. My sim constantly tries to eat almost every candy product they make, even the employee! Also grabbing out a serving of four lollipops to place individually in a display case is not only tedious but also has a high risk of getting eaten by the sim. The popcorn works much better at this.
5. When selling things like fish, please put them in a tank automatically instead of placing the fish out on a shelf by itself. It’s very strange and even awkward looking and the fish spoil very quickly.
6. Have a way to sell wall mounted items, paintings, wall art and more. (There might be a way and I haven’t found it yet, I apologize if there is).
This new DLC is very fun but has a lot of frustrating mechanics, tweaking it would make a world of difference! Plus there’s so much I haven’t explored on the new DLC and I’m sure there’s more that can be improved and tweaked so if anyone else knows things that needs improvement and has some ideas please share! I’m also really curious as to knowing what you guys think about the DLC.
