(This is my first post and it’s gonna be long! Fair warning. I had this idea for a bit now and thought of more this morning.)
This new world has three different sections:
- The first section is the area of Verona - has a landscape and qualities much like the actual Verona, Italy. But is set in the renaissance period. The architecture, landscape, and fashion matches that era.
- Sims that move to this area have the choice of joining either the Capulet or Montague owned areas that would that would lock them into certain choices and dialogues. (You live in a Capulet area and you run into a sim that is from a Montague area they may just start fighting or you could convince them to join the Capulet “family”.) Or they could live in a neutral area of Verona, away from the conflict. (Maybe quietly plot to help Romeo and Juliet without them dying or drive them further apart with assistance from Count Paris.)
- New careers -
- Own a winery and tend the vineyards or start a brewery and become a tater/ critic
- Have a job/part time job as a gondolier, and take sims around the waterways of Verona - must have high fitness skill!
- More jobs available for painters, sculptures, writers, and other creative arts. Ability to have patrons for up and coming or established sim
- “Advisor” to the king - help Prince Escalus with the conflict between the Capulets and Montagues or convince him that one family is “better” and help that family take control of Verona. Or take over the region of Verona yourself by wooing or overthrowing Escalus, Prince of Verona.
- The second section is the area of Midsummer nights dream - (I know the original area is set in Athens, Greece however, I would love to see a variation that’s set in Victorian era, maybe has Bridgeton vibes!)
- The world would either have a region that is Greece inspired or a region that’s inspired by the regency era of England.
- Sims may help assist in the romance or dissuade some couples/ roommates (Demetrius, Helena, Hermia, and Lysander) in this world with the “aid” of Oberon, Titania, and Puck.
- Assist or ruin the upcoming wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta. Or ignore all that and explore the fae realm hidden with this world (maybe add a hidden section in Verona to access the fae realm.)
- You can access this realm (the third “hidden world”) by going to the massive forest that’s behind the house that’s shared by Oberon and Titania with Puck as a roommate. However every time your sim goes to visit the house and they knock on the door (they are never home, even if you see them about other places.). The sim gets a pop up message that reads, “This house looks un lived in, despite being perfectly maintained.”
- If you try to enter the forest, your sim disappears and after a few minutes reappears with the dazed emotion on. If they continue without learning any fae lore they will end up fainting and possibly end up in the hospital with a fae illness. (Can be cured by a potion, cheat, or bargaining with a fae sim for help.)
- Once your sim gains a high enough skill level they can properly “speak” to the fae (I think it would be cool if it was a different variation or different language entirely to the current sim language.)
- You’re able to enter the forest at level two of the fae lore skill, however if other skills aren’t high enough like fitness or charisma then you could die by a wild fae or fae encounter.
- If your fae lore skill is maxed out you get a trait, “Not affected by the fae” - Whatever the fae may do to you willing or unwilling will have no negative effect on you. Meaning you now can’t die from a random fae event. Unless you pick the wrong action in a fae court.
Sim Fae addition includes:
- Multiple different types of fae sims -
- “Regular fae” (Like in Sims 3, the sims have wings but now can hover or fly to move around.)
- “One with the courts” sims have traits/ gameplay features that are depend on which fae court they join.
- “Twisted versions” of the fae - depending on how long the sim has been in the fae wilds. (May become so altered that they can’t leave the wilds for long or they become a supernatural sensation by becoming a new type a creature.)
- “Selkie sims” - Can usually be identified by their spots in human form, however Selkie sims may hide their spots with glamour or with certain types of clothes. Selkie sims swim in seal form and carefully hide their transformation going into and out of the water. They can also speak to aquatic creatures and can summon them. If a sim steals or “accidentally” takes a selkie coat, they have the option of keeping the coat or giving it back to the selkie sim. If a sim refuses to give back the coat at the request of the selkie. Then they risk the selkie’s anger and may end up with a curse. However if they give the coat back willingly and without giving in to any “reward” the selkie is offering. The sim will gain temporary buffs and they will gain a high friendship and/or romance level with the selkie sim.
- Different types of plant sims - Dryad, Spriggan, etc..
- Sims can become a plant sim though different conditions - Gains the ability to talk to plants and/or animals, has high friendship with a plant fae sims, or more nefariously, the sim has participated in destroying plants, harming the forest, littering a dryad or spriggan that witnesses the harming event will “curse” your sim into a plant sim but their lifespan is diminished to a week or two unless they show they’ve changed with their actions (cleaning up litter, replanting tress, etc..).
- Fae sims are able to pass on lore traits they earned and depending on their background, the child will gain certain perks depending on - if parent sim was or is a part of a fae court, was a wild fae/part of the hunt, or sim became a fae but did normal “human” interactions and had no further contact with the fae area.
- Welcome wagon update - If sims are visited by fae sims during the welcome wagon, they may get a item (potions or a bottle of “Juice”) which if ingested may give positive or negative outcomes. (You may have good luck for the day, nothing can go wrong. Or you may be turned into a fae creature or an animal for 24 - 48 hours.)
