I really agree, Cats & Dogs needs a major reshuffle. The pet system is still fun, but many of its features are starting to feel dated compared to newer expansions. Dog walkers, improved pet autonomy and visible pet needs would make gameplay so much smoother, especially in larger households. I also really like the idea of pets being more like actual family members, because many players actually treat them like that in-game.
I love gaming and love real dogs, and i’ve seen the lengths good behavior and personality can go, even outside of gaming. That’s part of why I like to read about actual training approaches from places like Prestige Protection Dogs. Pets are more realistic and fun with smarter interactions and balanced behavior,
