If you're talking about the current problem with loading households, that's caused by broken mods, not by EA.
The Sims 4 is not broken. Some mods are.
Your mods are your responsibility. Not EA's.

I don't play with any mods and I had the issue with my households not working

Close game and Clear your cache files. Specififically the cachestr folder/ cache folder, and the localthumbcache.package file. The game will repopulate these files when it you start it again. Your hostile should load properly after that.

I took my mods out and the issue still happened, so what are you talking about, yes it’s an EA issue.

It's not enough to remove your mods. You also have to clear your cache and repair your game.

I removed all my mods, and I still keep getting sent back to the world screen, sooooooo... nope.

Like mentioned above. You have to clear all your cache files.
honestly. You can just save your tray folder, saves folder screenshots folder and options .ini from your documents/electronic arts/the Sims 4 and backup your mods folder (or just rename it. And delete the rest. When you start the game back up it will recreate the deleted folds while keeping your saves etc. then you should be good to go.

You have missed the point completely. And no I’m not talking about and specific issue like loading household. I have worked all that out. I’m no amateur when it comes to modding.
the fact is. Modding the game is a huge part of it like many games and likely a vast majority of its players utilize mods. We k own that every new update is going to break our mods and we will have to wait for the mod developers to bring them to date.
The issue is when the game updates. It doesn’t give you a choice to hold off updating. Sure there is a work around where you go offline mode etc. but as the consumer of the product. If we are happy with it the way it is or would like to keep playing the version we have without being forced to update, we should be able to hold off updating until we are ready to. Yea that may mean curtain features won’t be available. But it should be our choice how we play the game we spent our money on. Not EA’s.

I don't have mods or CC in my game and it won't load. So - The Sims 4 is broken.

What steps have you taken to try and resolve your vanilla game breaking? I notice you have no post history here asking for any help, unless this is an alt account you're using. Some of us here can try and help you but you must help us and yourself by providing as much information as possible. Have you checked the bugs forum for your issue?

I get it, it's frustrating when a game you've paid for doesn't work as you expect it to and it's more fun to vent on the forums but there is help here, you just need to look or ask for it 🙂
