Love struck ruined my game

So I downloaded love struck and now I can't keep the love bar up and the fears are out of control. I'm seriously about to stop playing because I can not take love struck off without deleting my saved games. I have so much money in this game and one pack completely ruined it for me. My Sims fear keeps coming back every 5 minutes and I'm over it and I took a 1 day vacation only to come back and have to work non stop on the love bar with her BF. Anyone else having this issue? I just wasted 7 hours of work trying to get the fear under control I ended up quitting without saving.
