npc sims constantly cooking

so i was trying to host a christmas dinner in the Sims 4, which is quite literally impossible because 6/9 guests just KEEP ON COOKING MORE. and they even take out new things to cook from the fridge while another npc is cooking, which means that they don‘t have a counter top to cook on, so they leave their utensils lying around everywhere. Now I can’t even enjoy that event because I have to keep cleaning up their stuff

I‘m so sick of this omg I don’t need 10 huge plates of food for my household of 4. Fix that bug

    Besides the possible NAP issue, there is the fact that if you put cooking or baking as an activity the sims attempt to do it to fulfill holiday traditions. I counter this with the "join cooking" action. This makes it do they don't try to make a seperate meal. Also, having the food prepped before the guest arrive makes it less likely to happen too.

    Are you sure there isn't some kind of reason for them to be cooking? Such as the Foodies Unite Neighborhood Action Plan (NAP) that can get voted in to a street if you have Eco Lifestyle expansion pack?
