Please get rid of “situational outfits”

Agreed 500%.

Bienchen (sims4me on curseforge) has a series of mods named "situational outfits be gone". On her website you can download all of them in one zip, but on curseforge you need to download each module individually. They do work beautifully. In my game, townies dress the way I tell them to. 

You can couple this with MCCC dresser functions, which forbids any spawning NPC to wear any outfit you haven't previously approved. 

I think I have complained about this ever since the game started introducing them... they look terrible and I couldn't imagine playing the game without mods that disable them.

I use MC Command Center, the MC Dresser module have a setting where you can replace the situational outfits with everyday outfits. Bienchen's mods might be better because those mods are smaller.

I also agree. I like to make "seasonal" outfits under everyday. But the categories for hot and cold weather do allow extra outfits for my sims. However, they don't always work well. My sims go outside in very cold weather and don't wear their coats/parkas unless I change them. I have has sims wearing coats/parkas inside the house. I very rarely even use the party category. I could use it for extra outfits but when I have done that the sims will change out of it sometimes without my direction. I don't use mods or cc, but consider doing so when sims 4 is done. With all of the changes, like body hair, cosmetics, jewelry, etc., it takes even longer. I would love it if the sims were just in their underwear without any of the other things so we can start from scratch and add the items we want. Would still take a long time but might be a little less if start with a blank slate.

God yes, I hate that. Sometimes my Sims wear what I chose for them even when they are NPCs for the time being because I play with a different household, sometimes they show up in clothes I didn't even know existed in CAS. The weirdest thing was one of them wearing a hijab out of nowhere when I was not playing her. I have absolutely no idea where that came from. I'd also like to know why kids and teenagers get the most hideous outfits as soon as they age up, or terrible haircuts. When one of my twins aged up to teenager, the game decided he needed long curly hair with a floral wreath and nothing but a long-sleeved shirt with underpants for clothes. I mean... why? How? The first thing I do when one of my Sim kids ages up is take them into CAS, and for the kids of my main household, I also always needed the InstaSlim potion because every single one of them became heavily overweighed when aging up to teenager. Sporty, very active kids with parents whose fitness level is maxed out. 

I too would like to turn off situational outfits by default.

I totally agree, ive actually started downloading ”base sims” from the gallery because it’s so annoying having to delete all the hundreds of randomized accessories the sims start with in CAS lol!

God I totally understand🤣🤣🤣😭 the kids/teenagers always look completely different from their parents when they age up and I’m like????? HOW????
