SECONDARY SCHOOL
EP Idea:
High school years pack part 2 and call it: “secondary” (and its 2nd)
(for anyone outside the UK that’s what we call high school/ year 7 - year 11)
NEW LOT TYPE
We could have school as a lot type and we could chose to have as many schools as we want. You could chose the type of school like state school or private. Your sims would be automatically homeschooled/unemployed until enrolled in a school.
CHOOSE STUDENTS/ TEACHERS
We should be able to chose which sims go to which school, which year they’re in and chose which sims work as teachers there (playable characters)
UNIFORMS
This time we could actually choose the school uniform. But by choosing it in Cas when creating a sim it would be a new outfit category. That way you could mix and match styles while keeping a uniform. E.g some sims wear blazers, some just shirts.
PLANNER
Under calendar we could have a school planner. This is where we could create classes for sims to attend, just like you create any event. So you could fully customise the school days of each sims. E.g. you could create “maths class” for your sim to attend and choose sim/teacher to take that class and which other sims in the world would also attend that class. And choose a classroom to have that class in (you could pick classrooms by room selection). … but actually let us write the name of the class ourselves, don’t just have presets cause different countries have different names for classes so it can feel fully bespoke.
There should be an option to repeat event (class) every week/ deselect weeks or have it as a single class.
The same woukd go for after school clubs, where you could create after school clubs that way. (Custom write the name of the club and meeting spot, attendees activities)
Because it would be custom events you could also do all school assembly’s , 1 to 1 tutoring, custom head girl meetings etc
PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS + DETENTIONS
There should be more options for teens to get into trouble , like for talking in class or using phone, chewing gum etc. they could be sent to stand outside class , made to go to isolation room, go to detention, then have parents called , or called in for a meeting.
There could also be a custom event option of parent teacher meetings under planner where you have the option to create an event with your sim, a parent and a teacher, a meeting spot and a list of things to discuss to choose from. Some positive some negative.
REPORT CARDS
You could chose to get a report card home (not every week you should have to do it manually individually or for all sims at same time) otherwise it would end up like prom and become too repetitive. If it’s bad parents could punish. But expulsion feature should be turned off cause you can’t get unexpelled… suspensions should be allowed though.
END OF YEAR EVENTS
A lot of us play with aging off so the prom at the end of every week is too frequent and unrealistic. We should be able to have the option to create prom when we want to , if we want to as a custom event, and choose the sim attendees.
HOLIDAYS
In the UK we have school holiday so there could be an option to add a week of school when we want it, for all sims.
SPORTS KITS
In the UK we have sports kits so this would be a good CAS addition, along with some sports like football, rounders , athletics.
HEADMASTER
We call principals headmaster , they should be playable characters too. If not a live career at least be able to control the sim outside of school and choose, not having to head mei Prescott into the headmaster you want.
UK DESKS
For build buy can we get a desk that looks like our desks and chairs , and have students sit there, not in the American desks.
You should also be able to select the desks for each sim (which sim sits where for each class)
CHOOSE TEACHER PERSONALITY TYPES
This should be separate from their personality types in cas. We should just be able to select the sim teacher and assign “strict, firm but fair, fun, inspiring”
You could do the same for students e.g. “class clown, nerdy, popular, quiet/sweet, troublemaker/rebellious”.
