I like the idea of random vendors on community lots!
And yes, it was disappointing for me as well when I learned that you can't edit the neighborhood itself. When I got OR, I had this cool idea to place camping items like tents and coolers around the hiking trails at the Desert Bloom Park only to find that when I entered build mode it dragged me back all the way to the lot's build grid.
Exactly! We're given these vast open spaces of nothing! It's so underwhelming!
Some of the areas and nooks and crannies have such potential! Some places perfect for a picnic, some perfect for a bonfire or fire pit! A fireworks show? A small collection of vendor stalls, tents, a live music/festival area, occult gatherings... So much!
