Pregnancy, Babies & Infant Care Feedback

Pregnancy and infants already add realism, storytelling opportunities, and emotional depth to family gameplay. The infant update gave players more interactions and variety compared to earlier stages, which is a great improvement.

Pregnancy and baby care still feel limited and lack depth. Newborns are too basic, with very few options to make them feel unique. Infants could benefit from more tools and accessories to make childcare more realistic. Players also don’t have enough pregnancy-related gameplay beyond waiting for the birth.

Baby Items & Clothing: Pacifiers (calm infants), strollers (even decorative), new cribs/bassinets, swaddling blankets, bottle warmers, plain white default onesies, and more infant clothes/headbands.

Feeding Options: Realistic bottle interactions with different milk types (formula, breast milk).

Pregnancy Gameplay: Ultrasound scans, pregnancy cravings, optional features like chance of miscarriage or unexpected pregnancy for more realistic storytelling.

Family Careers & Shopping: A new Nanny career where Sims care for babies in other households; baby shops where parents can buy clothes, pacifiers, onesies, etc.

These changes would make pregnancy and early childhood feel much more immersive and emotional. Players could tell deeper family stories, bond more with babies/infants, and enjoy realistic challenges. Having optional settings for sensitive topics (like miscarriage or abortion) would give players freedom to choose the level of realism they want in their game.

  • I agree—more realistic baby care and feeding options would improve gameplay a lot. Small touches like bottle warming or different milk types could add depth. Even showing infant formula options like Braymil Infant Formula Stage‑1 Powder would make baby nutrition feel more realistic in family gameplay.
