Preview in Build/Buy mode

I wish that you could preview some functionalities without having to switch back and forth into live mode. I use water emitters in some of my build and its gets cumbersome to see if they look/ arranged the way I hope in live mode. Then realzing that nope have go back into B/B and try again. 

Are there any other small details/wants that you wished were in the game? Like its no big deal thats its not but oh man if it was you would be sooo happy.
