Not bugs, just some ideas for gameplay...
Why can't the projection screen in Little Campers, which is meant to be used outdoors, function in the rain? Also, why don't we have a poolside stereo that is waterproof as well? Seems sensible.
I'd like to see new developmental questions asked by children of their parents rather than the same 3 or 4 over and over. I also wish Sims better recognized each other as family members - and hey - maybe even a reminder for players as part of their floating, live mode name plates when you hoover on them. It would be nice for Sims not to flirt with their relatives - something that was said to have been fixed but still happens. It might also be nice for those of us who play enormous extended families or take long breaks between play sessions to have a little reminder of who is who, in the way of name plates telling the relation (if any) to the Sim you are actively playing. This way you can be reminded that you are talking to "Uncle Bob Smith" or "Cousin Thom Sanders" or whatever the case may be. And of course, the option to toggle this feature on and off would be wonderful for preference of play - so long as the Sims are programed to remember who they are related to. And while we're at it - why not program in some relation-specific interactions. There are types of roughhousing that usually come from uncles. There are types of secrets only shared by siblings There are types of trouble that only a cousin can get you into... that sort of thing. it could make interactions with relatives more dynamic, meaningful, and interesting.
I would love to see more playground items for children. Slides, Teeter-totters, merry-go-rounds. New gym equipment like dead lifts, chin-up bars, ellipticals. I don't think we've ever gotten new Scenarios since the original batch - wouldn't it be fun to throw in a dozen more of those? More clutter items - fresh and modern. Room specific - kitchen, bedroom, etc. And for the love of all that is good and holy - make the new clutter items ACTUALLY FIT ON SHELVES. Haha So many clutter decorations can only go on countertops or tables, yet we have so many display cases and curios that should be for those things... for example - tell me why the Challah bread can only go on a kitchen counter but can't be thrown on a shelf? Kitchen appliances eat up counter space quickly - if you also litter your counter with decorations... where do you actually prep food? I think all "clutter" items going forward should be able to be placed anywhere - except in cases where they would obviously be too large to do so. I don't expect the cardboard boxes full of clutter to sit in tiny shelves - but tiny individual items should. While we're at it - why is it that cats can jump up on top of a refrigerator, but I can't store anything up there? Have you ever been in a real person's home? Everybody stacks crap on top of their refrigerator!! Haha!!
And following the candy bowl idea from the paranormal stuff pack - why don't we have more bowls of snacks that can just sit around the home? Candy, fruit, nuts, cookies, biscotti - etc. Things Sims can grab and snack on without always going to the fridge and waiting 3 days for the chef's hat to pop up... Also, it would be something available for visiting guests. Not every visit it a full on party with a buffet and a bar - sometimes Aunt Martha wants to drop by to gossip on a random Tuesday, and it would be nice to have her favorite cookies on hand while you chat.
Last random idea for now - can we dial back the neediness on animals, especially cats, dogs, sheep, and goats? No matter how independent I make my cats & dogs or how well I take care of my sheep and goats - they always seem starved for affection and depressed about it. Moping about - makes me sad. It's like the game expects you to spend every minute of every day with them... which just isn't reasonable. Even after unloading every possible affectionate interaction upon them and turning them green and happy... they only stay that way just briefly, a couple of real life minutes or in game Sim hours at best, and then they are either depressed or bored again. Cats & dogs especially have each other to play with and toys to play with - but that never seems to matter. If you are not currently interacting with them - then they are sad. And I think that's silly. Especially for cats.
