Young Teens Idea Part 1: (This is just a very detailed idea I have, but it’s just an idea.)
Big Update Idea: New Life Stage - Young Teens (Like we have young adults) (I don’t want to call it preteen because when I think of preteen I think of 10 - 12 because those are double digits without the term ‘teen’ in them but our current teenagers to me seem to be 16 - 18, so young teens would be 13-15)
Base Game Stuff for Young Teens That I’d Like To See:
For friendly social interactions I would like to see stuff such as “talk about growing up,” “talk about insecurities,” “complain about growing up,” and “talk about crush.” I’d like the base game update to include decorative teen magazines and posters. I think when adding young teens the young teens should be able to have crushes and romantic relationships which could include features like flirting, kiss on cheek, or holding hands.
Other things I want the young teens to be able to do: Young teens are in a stage of being not adults yet, but not really kids anymore so I think they should be able to do some things adult sims can do and some things kids can do. For exercise some ideas would be riding bikes, jogging, walking pets (if Cats & Dogs is installed), using punching bag, using treadmill, skating (if Seasons is installed), basketball (If City Living is installed), swimming, soccer (If Discover University is installed), and more. Some child activities I think young teens should be able to do include, using the voidcritter battle station (If Kids Room Stuff Pack is installed) and playing with child sims at the station, talking to the giant teddy bear, playing on monkey bars, using the art table for children sims and being able to draw more advanced drawings then child sims, and playing dolls with infants, toddlers, and children sims. I also think young teens should be able to help children Sims with homework. I would like young teens to be able to hold infants and toddlers. Children and toddler sims have a section called ‘fundamentals,’ I think young teens should have a section called ‘life skills’ and in this section they can begin learning skills like cooking, and maybe for young teens it is maxed at level three or five, until they age up. I think under ‘life skills’ they should also get to learn a little bit of handiness. They can learn other skills too, I’m just expressing that cooking and handiness can be in an area called ‘life skills’ like toddlers and children have 'fundamentals.’ We have random mood buffs that say “awkward encounter” from socializing, young teens can get an angry buff randomly when talking to adult sims the buff says “I’m not a baby” and the sim is mad because they feel like they are being treated like a child. Adult sims can get a tense moodlet randomly when talking to a young teen and it says “That Sim just rolled their eyes at me! How rude!” - If they did add young teens or preteens ever, I kind of wish the limit of Sims in the household would be updated to ten not eight, because currently we have Young Adults, Adults, Elders, Child, Teen, Toddlers, Infants, Dogs, Cats, and Horses all counting as part of the household count.
