Sims 4 oversights until 2026

Heterochromia

Since cats and dogs have this option, we know it is possible.

Walking canes

At the very least, the elderly need them, adults and young adults having the option would not be bad either.

Mermaids

Mermaids need a skill tree, at least one occult-specific aspiration and a secret underwater world. If aliens can have Sixam and spellcasters can have Realm of Magic, Mermaids can have a world too. Also kelp nectar for a Horse Ranch crosspack feature anyone?

Aliens

Aliens need a skill tree and at least one occult-specific aspiration. A nectar of one the Sixam harvestables, as a Horse Ranch crosspack feature, wouldn't be bad either.

Plantsims

Plantsims should be permanent. They did well in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 for a reason.

Zombies

As long as they're like how they were in The Sims and The Sims 2, not the cross-game mess from The Sims 3.

Genies

Yet another missing occult.

    I wouldn't limit to just 2025. But I agree with the Heterochromia. I'd also say these are some of the biggest oversights

    • Baking in Get to Work and not in Base Game. One of the worst decisions in the game.
      • So confusing to try and find a specific recipe.
      • I'd also like the Cooking interface to be more like a Recipe book but that is probably too much to do at this point,
      • I'd settle on a re-categorization of various recipes to go where they make the most sense.
      • Add a few new things to make up any deficiencies 
    • Mermaids, Plant Sims & Aliens not given the same consideration as Vampires and Werewolves
    • Island Living failed to deliver on a lot
      • Mermaids should have had the same set up as Vamps, Werewolves and Spellcaster
      • No Scuba Diving
      • No Archaeology for Polynesia or even Underwater Archaeology
      • No Surfing
      • No Hot Coal Walking
      • No Lei update to Flower Arranging
    • The lame excuse for a Boardwalk we got in High School Years.  
      • Full Amusement Park not just a bunch of Rabbit-holes. 
      • Carousel & the Roller Coaster Build items are needed
    • CAS & CAP 
      • No Costume Tab - You pick a costume but if you do a party your costume gets changed
        • No new costumes to coincide with Occults being introduced 
        • No Pet Costumes either
      • Masks need to have more options. You have the entire Commedia del' Arte to draw from
      • Rainwear & Cold Weather Clothing need to be separated
      • Nifty Knitting not having Cats & Dogs in mind for additional knitted items
      • No holiday themed clothing or collars for Cats & Dogs
      • No new Cat & Dog breeds native to any new world we get as an unlock for having both packs
    • Still no heavily requested Build/Buy
      • Apple Bobbing Tub
      • Amusement Park Midway Games Kiosks & Winnable Prizes 
      • Carousel
      • Casino Games
      • Kissing Booths
      • Library Ladder
      • Pantry & Coat Closet
      • Poker Table
      • Pool Table with Accessories

    • Nectar Making in Horse Ranch. Should have been in a more romantic zone. 
    • Blacksmithing should have been the skill in Horse Ranch
    • Life & Death should have given Funeral tack for Horses as an unlock
    • Cottage Living having Llamas instead of Sheep.
      • If it had been me making the decisions I would have done sheep not Llamas.
      • The mini sheep are cute in Horse Ranch but it's not the same 
    • I would have placed Llamas in Jungle Living since they are an animal from South America
    • Jungle Living but no Parrots, really?
    • Veterinarian skill but not Veterinarian Career, really? 
    • Archeology skill but no Career nor branches nor updates
    • My Wedding Stories, Snowy Escape, Island Living and Life & Death  should have provided updates for Flower Arranging 
    • Snowy Escape being in Japan in general and a Japanese based pack not having 
      • Futons
      • Sushi Counters for use in Dine Out
      • Hibachi Grills & NPC Chef for same
      • Zen Garden like Bon Voyage
      • Martial Arts & Dojo lot and training items
      • Tea Garden 
      • Haori & Hakama, Yukatas
