Some general quality of life updates...
Sul, Sul. Here are some quality of life things I personally would like to see implemented.
I've been playing Sims since Gen one and the release of it's very first expansion. I'm a die-hard simmer, and naturally keep to myself. But today, I'd like to share some things about Sims 4 I think could do with just a little bit of tweaking.
1, The ability to customize the different life span durations was a huge part of my gameplay 'must do's' back during The Sims 3 era. I would like to be able to customize my experience a bit more through the option of picking exact days I want each stage to last.
2, Holy notifs! There is SO much going on in the sims! Which I LOVE. But, I don't want to be notified for EVERY festival and event, all the time. I use mod's to filter out some of the festival notifications, but I would much rather stay vanilla. Phone notifications, Festival and Event notifications, are all very overwhelming at times, especially if I'm doing a specific gameplay for a certain save. That being said, optimizing the calendar and making it more customizable, being able to remove and add whatever events and festivals you want to be notified for, by adding a toggle option for each type of festival / event. I would love to add more customization options to make the calendar less obsolete and play a bigger role in my gameplay management.
3, Rolling on with the Phone notifications specifically; even putting my sims phone on silent doesn't stop the incredible amount of calls my sims get. Consider needing to have an established amount of relationship / friendship before everyone calls asking for life advice. I would personally enjoy using a DND (do not disturb) option from time to time where no calls get through, unless generally important (sims missing work, bills needing paid, stuff like that).
4, Like calls, why does every single sim want to knock over my trash can and play in the trash? With every save I'm forced to either fence in my yard to keep from people knocking over my garbage, or getting the in-the-wall trash can. Adjusting to having to have so much of a negative relationship should be necessary before my trash can gets knocked over.
5, Following that, when I set my door to "No trespassing" I can select every option and still have people knocking on my doors all day. If you tell the game what people not to show up, it starts sending your friends, all, the, time. Maybe a bug, maybe it could use a tweak to make the duration between visits a bit longer.
