Why We Need 6 Traits in CAS
Traditionally, people have been asking for more traits, or more traits in CAS. There is a mod for 5 Traits in CAS that is often used, and though in GRO you can get up to 5 traits at YA+ they are not via CAS.
Glossing over the fact that you can cheat add, use mods or have GRO... I just think at this time we could just finally get a Base Game update for 6 Traits in CAS. For the following but not limited to reasons:
- Simology Panel is set up for 2 columns and Friend Panel/Dynasty Panel is set up for 3 columns. It is just both balancing and aesthetically pleasing with all these formats.
- It clearly isn't too difficult to make this type of amendment/adjustment in CAS if a Modder could set up 5 as a free mod. So this should be easily a Base Game update to set up 6.
- GRO never had it in CAS, and cheats already exist for it—so it isn't like it really is taking away from this EP.
- Traits are not created equal. After looking under the hood base game and older EP traits are just less fleshed out than newer (For Rent+) traits. Sims should be able to by this late stage have a mix of newer, and staple base traits to feel more unique.
- Traits are broken down to Emotional, Social, Hobby and Lifestyle. Without the 5 traits in CAS mod, cheats and/or without GRO—one can not even select a trait per category—let alone more complexity.
Additionally, I do think we should get a Trait Overhaul and Autonomy Overhaul to help make Sims and their behaviour unique.
